Get Involved

There are many different of ways you can become involved in Artfully AWARE’s present and future. The generosity of our donors, supporters and volunteers makes our work possible.

Make a difference. Bring art into people’s lives who would otherwise not have these opportunities. From volunteering, holding an event and to supporting our latest fundraising appeal, this section of our blog tells you how you can get involved.

We hope you will reach out to us. Say hello, ask a question or respond to any of these ways listed, and we will answer as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!

Stay in touch with us to learn about how we evolve and expand our work. Register to our quarterly newsletter that will provide current information and tell you of upcoming AfA events. Fill out the form on our website, and we will send you a confirmation to your email. This is an exciting time in our history, and we hope you will join us in our journey.

We welcome assistance in any capacity. Please email us with any ideas, questions or suggestions you may have. If you would like to hold a more formal role as an AfA Volunteer, we have devised an application form for you to complete and return to us by email. Please visit our website to download our AfA Volunteer Application Form.

As a Volunteer for Artfully AWARE, you can help us to achieve our mission by becoming an active supporter of advancing the arts internationally.

You will be part of the wonderfully supportive AfA Team and play an active role in touching people’s hearts and minds by spreading our programmes to more communities. In return, you will take part in work that is extremely rewarding, educational and hugely enjoyable.

Consider helping us in areas that you are interested in or in the following roles:

It is our vision to create a global alliance of artists whose work breaks down barriers. If you have experience with teaching or organisational skills, you can contact your local schools, youth centres and community groups to organise creative and educational workshops on behalf of Artfully AWARE.

Assist us with developing a project through research, planning, fundraising support, promotion and implementation. The experience gained will be immeasurable. If you have thoughts, ideas or your own project in mind, please send us information, and we will see if we can bring it to life.

If you believe you know of an organisation or local company that would be interested in getting involved with AfA, please send them our way. Tell us if you would like to learn how to identify fundraising opportunities or help us devise specially tailored sponsorship packages.

If you’re still in school or have access to college campuses, why not consider starting an AfA Chapter. Setting up an AfA Chapter on your campus gives you access to a number of resources. These resources can help maximise the impact of your work and connect you to friends and faculty interested in the arts, international development and education fields.

We are looking for dedicated, innovative and professional people to get our mission and vision out there into the public. If you have experience or a keen interest in development organisations, educational institutions, foundations, artistic groups, festivals, health centres, galleries and museums, we would love to hear from you.

Join us in bringing global cultures together. Consider putting on an event on behalf of AfA that will raise money and awareness of using the arts for global education and development. Support a worthy and necessary cause while having a great time and entertaining others.

Getting involved is simple. Let us know how you would like to hold your own event for AfA. It can be little or large. The exciting thing is that hundreds of small events make one enormous celebration. And this multiplies into one huge impact.

An AfA Event can be anything from a music concert to a poetry reading. Get creative and use the opportunity to teach others while expanding your own artistic talents. Hold a dinner party, organise an art exhibition, host a dance party, have a film screening or get others’ events to benefit our mission.

Our AfA Team will give you advice and support and will provide you with detailed information and promotional material. Got ideas? Make it happen.

Give a gift. Decorate your home. Teach someone about where your new art piece comes from. Our AfA Artwork Line is rapidly expanding, as we offer original, handmade paintings and prints from community members in Africa, beautiful greeting cards and designs on barkcloth material from leading African artists.

Please visit our website to view our AfA Artwork for Purchase.

The money you spend goes towards continuing the educational and therapeutic programmes in the communities we work with. And these communities are then able to provide an income for their families from creating these wonderful crafts and artworks.

Or, help us market and sell our unique and very special items at retail stores, gift shops, craft fairs, festivals and galleries. Please contact us for purchasing enquires or marketing opportunities.

Artfully AWARE invests in programmes and projects to make a lasting difference. Your support helps to lay the foundations and propels us to move forward.

The gift that you donate today will dramatically help us maintain our programmes in communities by purchasing art supplies, funding teachers and training participants in new skills. With this sustainability, we will be able to create and develop new projects globally.

Contributions at any level are sincerely appreciated. By helping us expand our educational outreach programmes and activities, together we will reach more communities that are in need of inspiration and hope.

Please visit our website to give your donations. Thank you very much for supporting Artfully AWARE.
